Description Responsible for identifying new greenfield project opportunities and advancing the development of assigned renewable energy projects to construction-ready status. Manages and coordinates with internal and external resources to achieve land acquisition, permitting, interconnection/transmission, and other project development milestones, with accountability for budget and schedule. Supports development leaders in originating and performing due diligence on project acquisition opportunities. Establishes and maintains industry and community relationships to advance project development. Performs regional market and competitive analysis as requested and supports power marketing efforts for projects in portfolio. Creates and maintains project maps, databases and tracking tools through GIS and other programs. Provides development support through engineering, procurement and construction of projects in portfolio as required.

Work Complexity & Independent Judgment

· Receives assignments in form of objectives and determines tactical approach, resources, schedules and goals

· Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced knowledge of own function and broad knowledge of related functions to solve moderately complex problems for a function


· Manages development of specific projects within assigned geographic area with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, schedule and business outcomes

· Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions and pay actions for support and professional levels

Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or related field; MBA or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.

· Demonstrated 3-5 years success developing wind energy projects, with advanced business acumen and strong negotiation skills required

· Advanced knowledge of energy project development, with 10+ years of business experience

· Strong knowledge of GIS preferred
