Description Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

Provide the gas-fired, combined-cycle, operating plants with technical support for small and large scale capital and expense projects. This includes troubleshooting the issues, defining the project scope, managing the flow of information between the plant and engineering subcontractors, and ensuring the technical resolution is in compliance with Codes, Standards, and sound engineering practice. To a lesser extent the position will provide Capital Project support including providing engineering support for large scale capital projects in various stages of permitting, development, construction, commissioning, or testing. This includes technical support for permits, writing design criteria and specifications for owner furnished equipment, responding to RFIs, reviewing specification and drawing submittals, and reviewing the project contracts and heat balances to ensure adequacy of design.

Responsible for developing solutions that will increase plant safety availability and reliability while considering factors such as cost and schedule. Will have the ability to weigh different proposed solutions on their merits and choose the solution that best matches the requirements. Ability to analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop a plan to resolve the open issue.

•Regularly provides on-the-job skills training to others in complex technical areas.

Requirements •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Senior-level; varies depending on area, but generally 10+ years directly related experience.
•Advanced certifications/licensures.
•Senior-level; recognized technical expertise in own and possibly related functions.
•Performs a variety of complex technical service/support duties requiring specialized knowledge.
•Advanced knowledge of a wide variety of engineering tools, processes and methods
