Description Job Summary:

Provide services relative to purchasing, disposition and control of materials, material accounting, inventory control, equipment parts history, auditing, budgeting and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Specialized technical knowledge with function.
• Performs a variety of technical service/support duties that are semi-routine in nature.
• Perform Shipping and receiving functions, check for correctness and damage or loss. Puts material into inventory and updates inventory software. Notifies requester of receipt of material.
• Using PeopleSoft, prepare Purchase Requisitions for materials and services.
• Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
• Responsible for procurement records and files.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Process and code invoices through ImageNow system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Routine and non-routine decisions with some latitude, but still subject to approval.
• With limited guidance, prioritizes and executes responsibilities effectively for a single trade, group of related tasks or functional area.
• Work periodically reviewed by others; work reflects solid performance of duties.
• Errors have small and possibly incremental impact on department or facility.
• Completes tasks and resolves problems that require an ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices.
• Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
• Assist in preparing reports to facilitate monthly forecasting activities.
• Works under general supervision.
• Prioritizes daily activities to complete tasks/projects assigned by others.
• May assist with orienting and training employees in complex areas.
Requirements • High school graduate or equivalent, trade school, related military service training programs, or technical training school programs. Additional professional training preferred.
• 2-5 years directly related experience in material control at a power generation plant or process plant.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license. Occasional trips to various locations around the United States to expedite material or part acquisition.
